Easy face mask
A lot of people spend time and money in the spa. Yes, it is an experience where price is relative and where ambiance can make a difference. These upscale places use herbs in most of their products from oils, creams, clays and hydrosols. There are flowering herbs like calendula, lavender and chamomile that have been trusted for centuries in beautifying the skin and you can grow them in your backyard. If not, there are resources that will help you make this face mask, just like going to the spa.
Recipe :
3 ounce Rose clay
6 ounce Kaolin clay
1/4 cup ground Lavender flowers
1/4 cup ground chamomile flowers
1/4 cup ground Calendula flowers
2 cups ground Oats
10 drops Lavender essential oil
Directions :
- Add the rose and kaolin clay together and place in a bowl.
- Slowly mix in the herbs, then the oats.
- Incorporate the essential oil drop by drop, making sure it does not form clumps.
- Place in a dry, clean jar. Label.
- When ready, add cold water or herb infused water and make a paste.
- With desired consistency, cover the face with the mask, making a circle around the eye and mouth area.
- Leave for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Rinse and pat dry.
- Use 2 to 3 times a week.
Herbal Face Mask
Easy face mask from herbs. This is nourishing, easy to make and customizable.

Materials
- 3 oz. Rose clay
- 6 oz. Bentonite clay
- 1/4 cup ground Lavender flowers
- 1/4 cup ground Chamomile flowers
- 1/4 cup ground Calendula flowers
- 2 cups ground Oats
Instructions
- 1. Place the 3 oz. clay with the 4 oz. clay in a bowl and mix.
- 2. Add the herbs slowly, then oats to combine.
- 3. Mix the essential oil, drop by drop, to fully incorporate.
- 4. Place in a clean, dry jar.
- 5. When ready to use, add cold water or herb infused water (like tea) to make a paste.
- 6. Cover the face with the paste, making a circle around the eye and mouth area.
- 7. Leave for 10 to 15 minutes.
- 8. Rinse and pat dry.
- 9. Use 2 times a week.
